Digi- Health

 Digi-Health is an online developing  IT company software working for the medical and healthcare industry. It is the theme provided by the University of Oulu, funded by the Academy of Finland. The Digi-Health program includes the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of information and Technology and Electrical Engineering, and Faculty of  Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine. The aim of this program is that it focuses on novel digital Technologies for the data-driven health care system, strong expertise in medicine, wireless solutions, and big data analytics. 

 As we can see that Coronavirus Disease cases rise rapidly all over the world especially in India the cases cross 22 lakh and it increases day by day with more than 63000 new cases reported in a country. We have 0.6 doctors and 2.2 nurses per 1000 population, with the World Health Organisation(WHO), 's norm 1 and 3 respectively. In pandemic situation doctor's mainly concentrate on COVID-19 patients rather than them who come from daily checkups. Some people couldn't come for checkups because of current disease fear. According to Tata Group chairman N.Chandrasekaran, India needs 60,000 more doctors and 2.5 million nurses; around two-third of Doctors. 

The physical infrastructure of the building of the Government hospital is not good and there is adequate equipment in it. Over 1000 population only 0.6 beds used in Healthcare centers. Doctors are very low in number because of it people get lined up for their treatment and no cleanliness in rural area's hospitals.

In India qualitative hospitals is very rare, so people have to travel long distances for accessibility of these hospitals, the cost of treatment is high. Digi-Health will provide an online platform for a consult to these doctors. But some people don't have internet connections and smartphones so they didn't get an advantage of  Digi-Health. 

If India wants to implement this program thoroughly Government should promote Artificial Intelligence Environment, investment in research and development, Budgetary allocation of the Health sector should be increased, private players to do invest in the health care system. With the help of these initiatives the health care system in India gets improved.
